Almost two third of Canada’s population growth (5.4% which is highest one in the G8 nations) is due to immigration.These figures got from the latest census release.

* Canada plans to admit between 240,000 and 265,000 immigrants in 2007. O
* Of the planned immigrants, about 60% are to be economic class, meaning skilled workers, 25% family
class,15% protected persons.
*The 10 largest source countries are, in order: China, India, Philippines, Pakistan, United States, Coloumbia, United Kingdom, South Korea, Iran and France.
