File sharing legal in canada

A federal jury in Duluth, Minn., United States ordered Jammie Thomas of Minneapolis to pay $222,000 to six recording companies for illegally downloading and sharing 24 music files with others over a Kazaa file-sharing network. These 24 music files were in her computer’s Kazaa shared folder and shared to others.
But according to this CNET article it is not illegal in Canada to share files over P2P networks.

If you feel that telemarketing calls are annoying and you desperately wanted to get rid of them you might want to register your phone number with the National Do not call registry. It’s a government agency and if a phone number has been placed in the registry for 31 days telemarketers shouldn’t call that number. Even complaints can also be made on that website. The number will be in the registry for five years and this service is free.
