These words are about the Canadian Documentary ‘Up the Yangtze’ which opens its theatrical run in Canada on February 8th, 2008. The documentary already had chosen as the best Canadian Documentary at the Vancouver Film Festival and its named one of Canada’s Top Ten Films. The film is about the worldn’t largest Dam built across the Yangtze river in China.

In the United States a Tuesday on early February or March on a presidential election year is called Super Tuesday.
2008 is a presidential election in America and today is another Super Tuesday there. This is the date where large number of the states held their presidential primaries. The phrase used on March 4th,1988 for the first time.

Groundhog Day or Groundhog’s Day is a traditional festival celebrated in the United States and Canada on February 2. If the ground hog emerges and sees his shadow on this day, there will be 6 more weeks of winter. The origins of the tradition aren’t clear and its not backed up by any scientific facts.

The country’s most famous weather predicting groundhog Willie did not see his shadow when he woke up from his slumber Saturday in Wiarton, Ontario. So there will be an early spring this year. If its true everyone would be relieved a bit when cleaning up their drive ways after yesterdays snow storm.

There is also a movie called Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray.
